2–30 characters: letters, numbers, dot, dash, underscore. Free — runs in your browser, nothing is stored.

How it works

Three steps to check a username

Free link generation in your browser. Automated deep lookup (1 credit) is coming soon.

  1. 01

    Enter a handle

Type a username without the @. We build the profile URL for every platform we cover — nothing leaves your browser.

  2. 02

    Open the profile links

Jump straight to Instagram, TikTok, X, GitHub, Cash App and 25+ more. A loading page usually means the handle is free or private.

  3. 03

    Verify with face search

Same handle ≠ same person. If photos look off, run a face search preview and pair it with our scam-check checklist.

Same handle on two sites is not proof of the same person — compare photos with face search.

How to use a username search well

  1. Start with the exact handle someone gave you, without the @.
  2. Open the platforms that matter for your situation — payments apps for marketplace sellers, Instagram and TikTok for dating matches.
  3. Compare profile photos. If they differ, run the photo through face search.
  4. Look at account age, follower patterns and linked sites. Brand-new accounts with stolen photos are a classic scam pattern.

Common variations to try

People often reuse a base handle with small changes: dots vs underscores (jane.doe / jane_doe), trailing numbers or years, or a prefix like the or real. Try two or three variations.

Limits

Some sites hide profiles behind a login or show a generic page for every URL. A link that loads is not proof the account exists, and a missing account doesn’t mean the person isn’t online. See our scam check for a fuller process.

FAQ

Username search FAQ

Is the username lookup free?

Yes. The link check builds profile URLs in your browser; nothing is sent to our servers. An automated deep lookup that verifies each profile for you (1 credit) is on our roadmap.

Does the same username mean the same person?

No. Popular handles are reused by many people. Compare profile photos, bios and linked accounts before drawing conclusions — a face search can help.

Why does a link say “page not found”?

It usually means no public account uses that handle on that site, the account is private or deleted, or the site requires login to view profiles.

Can I use this to find someone who blocked me?

Please don’t. Contacting someone who has blocked you can be harassment. Our Terms prohibit stalking and unwanted contact.
